Another 7:30 Start
Weather: Sunny and a little humid but not so bad overall
Good turn out but not as good as last week .
We had KJ join us from Maryland. Brother of Parijat recently married and someone who i heard has played up to or in Indian Domestic Cricket so an experienced player who played very well indeed
Match 1: 12overs per side
TeamA:Mukund(Captain), Ranjan,Nathan,Swagat,Mangesh,Viral, KJ(I think full name is Kishijet, if i am not mistaken )
Team B:Naveed(Captain),Vivek,Siva,Shail,Parijat,Marut, Kalpesh
Team A: 34 all out in 8.1
Team B: 37 for 1 in 7.4
Team B won the toss and decided to bat firt. Marut and Siva opened the batting. Nathan opened the bowling with Mukund. Mukund in the second over got both openers out and then Shail and Vivek joined. Score was 15 in 3 overs for the loss of two wickets. Then Swagat got the big fish Vivek after he managed 2 runs. Parijat joined Shail but Mukund got Parijat for a duck in next over and by the 5th over team B had lost 4 wickets with score at 22. Shail was the steady force at the other end but could not find any partners. In 8th over KJ got two wickets in two balls getting rid of Naveed and Kalpesh . Shail still was batting at the other end but Swagat got him with the first ball of the next over and team B folded for 34. Except Shail no one contributed much
Team A opened with KJ from MD and Ranjan. Naveed opened the bowling and KJ was out courtesy excellent reflex catch by brother PJ on off side for a duck , but then Mangesh joined Ranjan and everyone knows what happens when they bat together. No need to say much. They again formed an excellent partnership and took the score to 31 in 6 overs before Nathan and Swagat finsihed off.

Match 2: 12 overs per side
TeamA:Mukund(Captain), Ranjan,Nathan,Swagat,Mangesh,Viral, KJ
Team B:Naveed(Captain),Vivek,Siva,Shail,Parijat,Marut, Kalpesh
Abhay joined and was common in this game
TeamA: 68/6 in 12
TeamB: 70/3 in 12
Team A won the toss and decided to open with Viral and Swagat. Shail and Parijat opened the bowling. Steady start with 10 in 2 overs and they did not loose a wicket
Then in the third over Kalpesh got the wickets Swagat and Mukund who came in after him while giving away only two runs. Nathan came in to join Viral.
In the next over Marut got Viral out and the score was 23 in 4 overs. Ranjan came in but was run out via a direct hit from Marut in next over after making 1 run
Mangesh and Nathan then formed an excellent partnership. Nathan had his trademark off side shot going fully and was very harsh on anything close to off stump.He hit three fours , i think all on off side while Mangesh was his usual self. Score had reached 54 in 9 overs. Naveed and Vivek bowled two tight overs giving away 4 runs in next two overs. Then in the last over Mangesh who was dropped on first ball simply took off and Naveed was at the recieving end again by Mangesh. He took 10 runs of the last over with one dot ball and 2 on all the rest of the balls. In the end Team A managed 68 in 12 with Nathan and Mangesh and Viral making bulk of runs
Team B opened with Naveed and Abhay, while Mukund and Swagat opening the bowling. The start was very good by Abhay and Naveed with 26 coming in 4 overs and no one getting out.Vivek and Kalpesh came in after the 4th over and they also formd a very good partnership with the score reaching 54 in 9 overs for the loss of only one wicket. Marut and Parijat came in and they again formed a good partnership. Swagat did bowl an excellent 10th over giving away only two runs so 13 were needed of the last two overs. KJ bolwed the 11th over and Marut and Parijat took 8 runs of that over with excellent running. KJ did get brother PJ out and 6 runs needed of the last over to be bowled by Mangesh. Siva came in and Joined Marut. They kept taking run a ball with two wides and one wicket fell on the 5th ball so game was tied. Vivek came in and took 2 of the last ball so Team B won on the last ball.
This was a very methodical chase in terms of everyone contributing all the way from top to bottom with no one really making too many runs but all 7 contributing at some point

Some players left so teams were
Team A: Mukund, KJ, Ranjan,Nathan,Mangesh, , Swagat
Team B: Naveed, Kalpesh, Vivek,Parijat, Abhay,Marut
Viral who was playing with a foot injury did not bowl all day and was common in this game
Team A: 38/4 in 8 overs
Team B: 39 for 1 in 7.4 overs
Team A won the toss and decided to bat first and opened with KJ and Ranjan. Vivek opened the bowling and got Ranjan for a duck . Mukund joined KJ but he also got out in the 3rd over bowled by Marut and the score was 13 in 3 overs. KJ was in good form and took two consecutive fours of the 5th over bowled by Naveed to get the innings going . Kalpesh bowled an excellent 6th over giving away only 1 run while getting the dangerman Mangesh for a duck. Score was 29 in 7 overs. Viral finished with a flurry and took 9 runs of the last over bowled by Kalpesh to take the score to respectable 38 in 8 overs.
Team B opened with Marut and Parijat. Ranjan opened the bowling with an excellent over giving away only 1 run and also bowling Marut with a ball that kept very low.
Kalpesh joined Parijat and they took the score forward .Score was 9 in 3 overs with Team A bowling very well up front
6 runs came of next over. Kalpesh and Parijat gave Team B a good start and then Vivek and Abhay joined. 8 runs were taken of the next over with Vivek hitting a 6 behind the wicket to take the score to 23 in 5 overs.
Abhay and Vivek formed a very good partnership to take the score to 33 in 7 overs with 6 needed of the last over. Abhay hit the first ball of the last over for 4 being bowled by Nathan and then they finished things off by taking two more runs.
So another excellent chase by Team B and Team B won 2-1

This was KJ today . Like i said joining from MaryLand. Brother of PJ . Very good player and hope to see him sometime in the future
